The clergy is represented by the Prioress (and her nun and three priests), the Monk, the Friar, and the Parson. The other characters, from the wealthy Franklin to the poor Plowman, are the members of the laity
The author should start with usually one viewpoint and tell the story that way, and then you should tell the story in the other viewpoint, but don't include anything that would make it seem like it was from the first viewpoint.
