Complex Carbs are very useful because they are healthy and do not interfere with a race. They turn those into glucose and helps the energy be saved longer. <span />

Complex Carbohydrates are made up of sugar molecules strung together in long chains. Both simple and complex carbs can be turned into Glucose which is used as short term energy. This short term energy is great for short races, for marathons I suggest more lipids as well. The act of eating a lot of carbs the night before a race is called "Carb Loading"

angle a and b are complementary. m angle a = 2x and m angle b = 4x +30. what is the measure of the angle supplementary to angle
Papessa [141]
M>a + m>b = 90 (complementary angle)
2x + 4x +30 = 90
6x + 30 = 90
6x + 30 -30 = 90-30
6x = 60
6x/6 = 60
x=10
The m>a = 2x
m>a = 20
Supplemenary angles must add up to 180. So, 180- 20 = 160
So the measure of the angle supplementary to angle a is 160°

Calculate the number of subsets and the number of proper subsets for the set.
arlik [135]

A set of n elements has 2ⁿ subsets. One of these subsets is the set itself, so this set would have 2ⁿ - 1 <em>proper</em> subsets.

The given set has 4 elements, so it has 2⁴ = 16 subsets and 2⁴ - 1 = 15 proper subsets.

Just to illustrate the claim, we have

• subsets of size 0 (1 of these):

{ } (empty set)

• subsets of size 1 (4 of these):

{1/6}, {1/7}, {1/8}, {1/9}

• subsets of size 2 (6 of these):

{1/6, 1/7}, {1/6, 1/8}, {1/6, 1/9}, {1/7, 1/8}, {1/7, 1/9}, {1/8, 1/9}

• subsets of size 3 (4 of these):

{1/6, 1/7, 1/8}, {1/6, 1/7, 1/9}, {1/6, 1/8, 1/9}, {1/7, 1/8, 1/9}

• subsets of size 4 (1 of these):

{1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 1/9}

and the last one is the only subset that is not a proper subset, because that subset = the set.

5. Write down the nth term of each of the following G.Ps
yawa3891 [41]

Answer:

1i) nth term = 12(-b/4)^(n-1)

ii) nth term = 3(-1/9)^(n-1)

2i) Sixth term= (-3b^5)/256

ii) Eight term = -1/1594323

Question:

The complete question as found on brainly (question-10746111):

Write down the nth term of each of the following G.Ps whose first two terms are given as follows. Also find the term stated besides each G.P.

i) 12,-3b,......sixth term

ii) 3,-1/3,..........;8th term?

Step-by-step explanation:

1) To solve terms involving Geometric progressions (GPs), we would first state the variables that are to be incorporated in the formula.

i) 12,-3b,......;sixth term

1st term = a= 12

r = common ratio = 2nd term /1st term

r = -3b/12 = -b/4

Then we would find the nth term

See attachment for details

ii) 3,-1/3,..........;8th term

1st term = a= 3

r = common ratio = 2nd term /1st term

r = (-⅓)/3 = (-⅓)(⅓) = -1/9

Then we would find the nth term

See attachment for details

2) we are to determine the sixth term in (i) and eight term in (ii)

See attachment for details

Sixth term= (-3b^5)/256

Eight term = -1/1594323

Answer:

<h2>26 Shilling</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount to be paid = The new price

where;

New price = (100-x)/100 * Original price

Original price = 40.00

x = discount

<h2>Placing in formula</h2>

100-35/100 * 40.00

65/100 *40

26 shilling

<h2>Therefore the amount you will pay for the discount is 26 shilling</h2>
