The issue of high cholesterol can sometimes run in families. If an individual has two normal alleles, then he is phenotypically

normal. Individuals having both recessive alleles for this condition leads to zero production of receptors that remove cholesterol from blood. However, individuals who are heterozygous produce half the number of receptors necessary to remove cholesterol from the blood. This is a good example of
A) epistasis.

B) complete dominance.

C) incomplete dominance.

D) codominance.

In the case of the gene that determines high cholesterol in the blood, the two alleles express incomplete dominance.
What this means is that the dominant allele is not completely dominant over the recessive allele. If the allele was completely dominant, even one allele would be enough to determine the individual's trait as dominant. But in the case of incomplete dominance between the alleles, the heterozygous individuals that have one dominant and one recessive allele are an ''in between'' phenotype.

Flat bones consist of spongy bone sandwiched between compact bone. Is this statement true or false?
olasank [31]

Answer is "true" statement

Explanation:

 • Each osteon is made out of concentric rings of a calcified network called lamellae (solitary = lamella)
 • the lacunae and osteocytes are found in a grid-like system of network spikes called trabeculae (particular = trabecula) (Figure (Links to an outer site.)). The trabeculae may give off an impression of being an irregular system, however every trabecula shapes along lines of worry to give solidarity deep down.
 • This system of flat bones consist of spongy bone permits supplements to be moved to the osteocytes and squanders to be expelled from them
 • Hence, the right answer is "flat bones consist of spongy bone sandwiched between compact bone is true statement"
