Need to write a 200-word essay on the death penalty. Is it too harsh or not. Any ideas?

Here are some points to consider when making your argument:

The death penalty is only given to criminals who committed murders, not a minor crime such as stealing or even speeding (while driving a car).

The alternative to the death penalty is life in prison.

When an inmate goes on the death row, he\she doesn't know when the execution will take place. So it's kind of a suspense for them and drives them more crazy.

The execution is done by taking a show of drugs that puts them to death slowly. Lately, in the news, these executions have blotched up and went awry.

Hope that helped :)

What caused syrian civil war
Butoxors [25]
The Syrian civil war, also known as the Syrian uprising or Syrian crisis, is an ongoing armed conflict in Syria. It is a conflict between forces of the Ba'ath government and forces who want to remove this government. The conflict began on 15 March 2011, with demonstrations. These demonstrations were like demonstrations held in other Arab countries, which has been called the Arab Spring. Protesters in Syria demanded the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad. His family has held the presidency in Syria since 1971. Many of Assad's supporters are Shia while the majority of the government opposition is Sunni.

In April 2011, the Syrian Army fired on demonstrators across the country. After months of military battles, the protests turned into an armed rebellion. Opposition forces were soldiers who had left the Syrian army and civilian volunteers. Opposition fighters had no central leadership. Battles took place in many towns and cities across the country. In late 2011 the Islamist group al-Nusra Front began to have a bigger role in t forces. In 2013 Hezbollah entered the war in support of the Syrian army.

The Syrian government received military support from Russia and Iran. Qatar and Saudi Arabia gave weapons to the rebels. By July 2013, the Syrian government-controlled approximately 30–40 percent of the country's territory and 60 percent of the Syrian population.[10] A 2012 UN report said the battles were between different sects or groups. The battles were between Shia groups against Sunni rebel groups.

One effect of Latin upon Old English syntax was the reliance upon word endings rather than word order. True False
Natasha2012 [34]

False. Old English was a synthetic language, which means that words' endings signalled grammatical order and word order was rather free. As Old English differentiated words' categories through their endings, words could be placed anywhere in a sentence and readers would know the category of the words.

Whenever you read about Latin's influence on Old English, you will find its influence on Old English vocabulary. As scribes translated Latin works into Old English, they frequently found no translation for some Latin words and, thus, they introduced new Latin ones.

Your state government is planning to stop the payment of registration fees for senior school certificate examination.write a let

Answer:

Check the answer below

Explanation:

11, Olosan Street,

Alakia Road,

Ibadan,

Oyo State.

13th June, 2020.

The Governor,

Oyo State.

Dear sir,

LETTER OF ADVICE

I am writing this letter to you with a deep sense of appreciation and the acknowledgement of your good works to the good people of Oyo State. You're indeed the best Governor the State has ever had. A lot of students would have been out of school if not for your free education policy. All your good deeds are too numerous to be highlighted in a single letter.

However, it came to my notice that your administration is planning to stop paying for the registration of the Senior School Certificate Examination which I confirmed to be true. It is my duty as a citizen to advise you against this move. I will give you a few reasons to justify my point.

First, there are a lot of indigent students all over the State whose parents cannot afford three square meal in a day. The students fend for themselves and cannot afford to pay for the SSCE registration. If the government stops this payment, these young ones will lose all hope of going to school.

Moreover, Implementing policies that will make the young ones drop out of school will increase the crime rate in the state. If these students no longer go to school, they are liable to join different evil gangs which pose a lot of threats to our community.

Lastly, the future of any state or country lies in the education of the youths. Developed countries in the areas of technology, economy, and health got this breakthrough because they implemented policy that encourage mass education. Our state will lose all hope of development if this planned antipeople policy is implemented.

Finally, I implore you to reconsider this plan and continue this good gesture not minding the present economic realities.

Yours faithfully,

Kolade Oyesetan.
