9(3x - 16) + 15 = 6x - 24

First distribute 9 to 3x and -16.

27x - 144 + 15 = 6x - 24

Combine like terms. (-144 + 15)

27x - 129 = 6x - 24

Get the variable, x, on one side of the equation. You can do this by subtracting 6x from both sides.

21x - 129 = -24

Add 129 to both sides to isolate x.

21x = 105

Divide 21 off of both sides to find the value of x.

x = 5

You can plug x into the equation to check your answer.

9(3 x 5 - 16) + 15 = 6(5) - 24
6 = 6

Answer:

Part A: You first multiply 9 to 3x and minus 16. Then add 15 to -144. After that add 129 to both sides and subtract 6x from both sides. Divide both sides by 21 to get x my itself. You get x=5.

9(3x-16)+15=6x-24

27x-144+15 = 6x-24

27x-129 = 6x-24

27x -129+129 = 6x -24 +129

27x = 6x +105

27x - 6x =6x-6x 105

21x = 105

21x/21 = 105/21

x = 5

Part b: the value of x is 5

Dafna11 [192]

Answer:

a. 2,025 ft

b. 8,100 is a perfect square.

Step-by-step & explanation:

It is a perfect square because if it wasn't, it wouldn't be equally a whole number when divided by 4 or 2,025 exactly on ALL 4 sides and when finding the root of 8,100 it's a perfect 90. As you should already know a perfect square has a given 90 degree angle.

Tarp = 8,100 sq ft.

- anchored corners at the base.

- Square infield.

Well if there's 4 bases, divide 8,100 by 4.

8,100 / 4 = 2,025

One base to another base is 2,025 ft.
