Is the adjective clause in this sentence restrictive or nonrestrictive?
Brrunno [24]
It's a restrictive clause. All restrictive clause can't be in between a punctuation (i.e: a comma) and it will always have a pronoun "THAT".

Inside the passage from "No Gumption", we see a key theme that was used to override another belief. The first belief, as seen through the lens of the main character, was a "despised" theme of, "<em>If at first you don't succeed, try, try again</em>". However, in the coming days, both learn that there are more than one way in life, as seen in the bottom, in which the theme became "<em>If one choice doesn't work, another may</em>". There are many choices you can make, and not all would lead to your happiness or enjoyment. The idea of the passage is that you don't have to be narrow-minded, and that there are many choices that you can take. This can be seen in the end of the story, when 'a new idea had taken life in [Mom's] mind. "Buddy", said she, "maybe you can be a writer". ' This means that Mom was able to look in a broader lens, and to see that other walks of life work too. There is no one true route, all must find their own way of solving their own problems. Though one can share their way to ease the path, in the end, the person walking the path must choose for themselves. As seen in the story, the author decided to pursue his own path, and with fruition, the mother also approved of the way. Remember, parents are there to help us in our paths, and to give their advice and opinion, and to be with us in our journey of life.
