Why is Hamlet able to act in Scene 4 but not in Scene 3? What does this tell readers and viewers about Hamlet’s character?

In scene 3, Hamlet caught Claudius while he was in prayer and he thought that if he killed him then, Claudius could still go to heaven and he didn't that to happen to a "villain". Compare this to scene 4 when he had actual proof of Claudius' crime but mistook Polonius for him. This shows that Hamlet was honorable even when he was troubled.

Find at least one other example of textual evidence from the play that demonstrates the theme of morality versus law.
hichkok12 [17]

Plato Answer:

The following lines from the play serve as one example of the theme of morality versus law:

CHORUS:

Thou hast withstood authority

A self-willed rebel, thou must die.

The chorus states that, by going against Creon’s order and defying his authority, Antigone must die. She’s a “self-willed rebel” for choosing to follow her moral path rather than obey a law she thought was unjust.
