So this easiest way to solve is to use the elimination method. Basically you just add the equations together. This is what you do.

-5x + y = -11
x - y = 7
Add the equations.(This operation gets rid of the y-value)
-4x = -4
Divide.
x = 1
Now plug in 1 into an equation of your choice and find the value of y.
1 - y = 7
Subtract 1 from both sides.
-y = 6
Divide by -1 because you can't have a -y.
y = -6
So the solution is (1, -6).
I hope this helps love! :)

A circle has a central angle measuring startfraction 7 pi over 6 endfraction radians that intersects an arc of length 18 cm. wha
mash [69]

The radius of this circle is (B) 4.9 cm.

<h3>To find the radius of the circle:</h3>

To solve this problem, we need to, first of all, convert the angle from radians to degrees.

data;

  • length of an arc = 18cm
  • angle = 7/6π rads
  • π= 3.14

\frac{7\pi }{6rads} =210^{0}

Length of an Arc:

The formula for the length of an arc is given:

l_{arc} = θ/360 × 2\pi r

Let's substitute the values and solve:

18=\frac{210}{360} *2\pi r\\18=3.663r\\r=\frac{18}{3.663} \\r=4.9cm

From the calculations above, the radius of this circle is 4.9cm.

Therefore, the radius of this circle is (B) 4.9 cm.

Use the graph of the function f(x) = 2x + 2 to find the value of y when x = 2.
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

6

Step-by-step explanation:

Note: f(x) = y

f(x) = 2x + 2      x = 2

Step 1: Plug in 2 into x.

f(x) = 2(2) + 2

Step 2: Then multiply 2 times 2.

f(x) = 4 + 2

Step 3: Add.

f(x) = 6
