The most recent conflicts are

conflicts with the Kachin minority – the second conflict started in 2011. and since then there were numerous armed conflicts between the Kachin army and the Myanmar Army that have resulted in over a thousand casualties and way more losses of homes
Karen conflict – another conflict that has been going on since 1949, this one with Karen nationalists in the Kyin State of Myanmar. While in decline, over the last ten years there were many ceasefires and army fights.
Conflict with Rakhine State – the three minorities from this State have been in a long fight with the government. One of the more recent conflicts has happened in 2019. when they attached the police in an armed attack.

As of February 1st, 2021. Myanmar military has taken over the government and proclaimed a year-long emergency stated. This has happened once before and ended in many deaths. This conflict arose over the elections.
