I think what you do is pretend it is a circle and find the circumference of the circle then cut that amount in half. The straight side of the semicircle is the diameter of the whole circle, so you add that to the half of the circle. Hope this helps (and wasn't explained badly)!

Out of 132 seventh graders 33 voted math as their favorite subject. What percentage is this?
snow_lady [41]

Answer:

25%

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the percentage, we take the amount that found math as their favorite subject and divide it by the total amount of students.

33/132 = .25

This is in decimal form.  To change it to percent form, multiply by 100

.25 * 100 = 25 percent

-z=80 solve with steps
dalvyx [7]
-z = 80

You cannot submit an equation with a negative letter ( -z ) so we have to cancel the negative.

To cancel negatives in the equation, we multiply both sides by -1.

-z * -1 = 80 * -1

z = -80

Answer: z = -80

Lisa and Ann are eating a box of crackers. Lisa eats 3/6 of the box,and Ann eats 1/4 of the box.How much of the box did the two
Rufina [12.5K]
<h2>Lisa and Ann ate 3/4 of the box together</h2>

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that,

Lisa and Ann are eating a box of crackers

Lisa\ ate = \frac{3}{6}\\\\Ann\ ate = \frac{1}{4}

<h3><u>How much of the box did the two girls eat together?</u></h3>

Together\ eaten = Lisa\ ate + Ann\ ate\\\\Together\ eaten = \frac{3}{6} + \frac{1}{4}\\\\Together\ eaten = \frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{4}\\\\Together\ eaten = \frac{1 \times 2}{2 \times 2} + \frac{1}{4}\\\\Together\ eaten = \frac{2}{4} + \frac{1}{4}\\\\Together\ eaten = \frac{3}{4}

Thus Lisa and Ann ate 3/4 of the box together
