By the fourth month of pregnancy the heartbeat of the baby can be audible with the help of Doppler ultrasound. It can also evaluate the flow of blood through the arteries and veins to various organs of the body.

By the fourth month of pregnancy the baby's toes and fingers are in well defined stage. Formation of eyebrows, eyelids, nails, hair and eyelashes occurs. The bones and teeth increase density and by this time the baby is able to suck his or her thumb, make faces, stretch and yawn. The genitalia and the reproductive organs get fully developed and this can be detected using the ultrasound technique.

In the ultrasound technique very high frequency sound waves are passed through the lower abdomen by the probe or transducer. /this transducer then collects the sounds which bounce back and these sound waves are then used to produce an image on the computer screen attached.

The nuclear DNA content of a single sperm cell in Drosophila melanogaster is approximately 0.18 picogram. What would be the expe
aleksklad [387]

Answer:

The correct answer is - 0.72 pg.

Explanation:

A we know that, genetic material present in one primary spermatocyte divides in between four sperm cells that means that each sperm cell has 25 percent of DNA or genetic material of the primary spermatocyte.

Given:

1 sperm cell = 0.18 nuclear DNA

So,DNA content of one sperm cell = \frac{\text DNA content of primary spermatocyte}{4}

0.18*4 = DNA content of primary spermatocyte

DNA content of primary spermatocyte = 0.72 picogram

When glucose molecules are broken down, energy is released, and carbon dioxide and water are produced. What is this process call
Tcecarenko [31]
Hi there!

This process is known as cellular respiration. It is essential for all living to survive because it allows aerobic organisms to convert food into energy - without cellular respiration, we would not be able to produce energy, making it impossible to perform bodily functions that are important for life.

The word equation for cellular respiration is:
Glucose (energy) + Oxygen + Water ⇒ Carbon Dioxide + Water

The balanced chemical equation for cellular respiration is: C₆H₁₂O₆+6O₂+6H₂O⇒6CO₂+12H₂O

Hope this helps!
