At first, Sojourner Truth was happy to have many children because B. THEY WERE THE ONLY THINGS THAT GAVE HER JOY.

However, she worried that her children will be sold and live the life of a slave because they were born from slaves. That is why she escaped from her owner and became an abolitionist and women's right activist. 

She is one of the African-American women abolitionist who call for the of slavery.
