Answer:

Small towns New England Greens.

Explanation:

Symbolism is the literary device used by authors and writers to represent an idea or theme in their works. They use images and indirect suggestive forms to show their expressions and emotions, ideas and feelings.

In the poem "For the Union Dead" by Robert Lowell, the poet uses a lot of symbolism in his whole poem. The Mosler safe, the aquarium, Colonel Shaw etc all stand for what was in the past. The aquarium represents the "black school children", while Colonel Shaw was a famous soldier during the war who was buried along with his black comrades, representing death and sacrifice. The Mosler Safe is a representation of the present day technology responsible for the bombings,a  reference to the bombing of Hiroshima and also showing the horrific details of the war. The small town New England greens did not have any symbolic reference in the poem.
