Loyalists: advantages
-Loyal to the crown. 
-Despised the patriots. 
-Were totally against the revolution. 

Patriots: advantages
-Wanted independence. 
-Fought hard. 
-Were willing to do anything for their country. 

Similarities: 
-They both lived in America. 
-They both had opposite views.
- They both speak the same language.

Loyalist- disadvantage
• They fought 300 miles away from home
• They didn't know the land
• They didn't pay off all the debts from the French & Indian War

Patriots-disadvantage
•They had a volunteer army (not well-trained)
• They had to create an army
• They had to borrow money to pay for the war
• They printed paper money (this led to inflation)
