The melting of the arctic ice will lead to a drastic increase in the amount of water in the sea, causing a rise in sea levels. The effect will be that countries close to the sea will get flooded with water. This will cause the deaths of thousands.

Most Islands such as the Caribbeans, Iceland, and Madagascar will be totally submerged in water as a result of this.
