Historical accounts on it

- Many religions and regions talk about it
    - Judaism talks about it in Noah
    - Persian stories such as in Gilgamesh talks about it
     - Indigenous cultures in Latin America have stories about a flood

The ladies know he is a demigod in danger, and the mist keeps him from knowing this. The mist conceals magic. Later as the book goes on strange events lead to a realization that he is a demigod.
