First, you would need to simplify both sides of the equal sign. (It is already simplified as much as possible).
-2y + 1 = y - 5

Now, you would need to combine like terms on both sides of the equation. Remember, y = 1y.
-2y + 1 = y - 5
-3y = -6

Now, all you would have to do is isolate the x. To do this, you would divide both sides by -3.
-3y = -6
y = 2

I hope this helps!

Remark
This question likely should be done before the other one. What you are trying to do is give C a value. So you need to remember that C is always part of an indefinite integral.

y = \int (cos(x) + sin(x) ) \, dx = \int{cos(x) \,dx + \int sin(x) \,dx
y = sin(x) - cos(x) + C
y(π) = sin(π) - cos(π) + C = 0
y(π) = 0 -(-1) + C = 0
y(π) = 1 + C = 0
C = - 1

y = sin(x) - cos(x) - 1 <<<<< Answer

Problem Two
Remember that y = \int\ { \frac{1}{x} } \, dx = ln(|x|) + C
y( - e^3 ) = ln(|x|) + C = 0
y(-e^3) = ln(|-e^3|) + C = 0
y(-e^3) = 3 + C = 0
3 + C = 0
C = - 3

y = ln(|x|) - 3 <<<< Answer

I WILL MARK YOU BRAINLIEST PLS HELP!!! The image below shows two dilated figures with lines AB and A’B’ drawn. If the larger fig
geniusboy [140]

Answer:

Lines AB and A'B' are similar, line A'B' being three times the size of line AB. They would not be congruent since a dilation isn't a rigid transformation but they would be similar. Their lengths would also be expressed in the form of a ratio which would be 1:3 if you do AB to A'B' and 3:1 if you do A'B' to AB. Hope this helped! :)

Step-by-step explanation:

The relationship between two lines AB and A’B’ is A'B'=3AB.

It is given that in the given figure larger figure was dilated using a scale factor of 3. It means the smaller and larger figures are similar and there corresponding sides are in the ratio 1:3.

The line AB connecting the two points of the smaller figure and line A'B' connecting the two points of the larger figure.

Since A'B' is corresponding line segment of AB in larger figure, therefore the ratio of AB to A'B' is 1:3.

By cross multiplication we get

The length of segment A'B' is 3 times of AB.

Evaluate the expression when x = -1 and y = 4.
Sedaia [141]

Answer: -9/6

Step-by-step explanation:

Substitute the value of X and Y into the equation. Therefore

X-2y

When X = -1 and when Y= 4

-1-2(4)

-1-8=-9

Y-2x

When X= -1 and when Y=4

4-2(-1)

When multiplying 2 negatives it becomes a positive so...

4+2=6

-9,6 would be your answers... hope this helps you!!
