The answer is 6. You can change 5 1/2 to a decimal as 5.5 and then divide 33/5.5 and the answer is 6.

From the graph: there are 200 students overall. For the next 100, we can divide each number by 2 to find an estimate for how many with participate in MATH tutoring. 40 divided by 2 =20 students participating in MATH tutoring.

Part B- There are currently 55 students out of 200 in SCIENCE tutoring. We add 55 more for 400 = 110, add 55 more for 600=165, and then add half of 55 (27.5 or 28 because you CANNOT have half a student) for 700 students total. 55+55+55+28=193 students.

The school designed their garden to have a perimeter of 32 ft with the length measuring two feet more than twice the width
Tresset [83]

Based on the perimeter solved, the length and width of the rectangle will be 11.34 feet and 4.67 feet respectively.

How to solve the perimeter

Width = w

Length = 2w + 2

Perimeter = 2(Length + Width)

Perimeter = 2(Length + Width)

32 = 2(2w + 2 + w)

32 = 4w + 4 + 2w

32 - 4 = 6w

28 = 6w

w = 28/6 = 4.67

Length = 2w + 2 = (2 × 4.67) + 2 = 11.34
