Faustus is a Renaissance Man who is not satisfied of what knowledge he has and went beyond the normal learning by selling his soul to the devil in exchange for greater power using magic. Because of wanting to learn magic, he made a pact to the devil for twenty four years. The excerpt of his life story depicts that after all the knowledge and powers he has, it has an end and no one can save him. And his time has come to be taken by the devil.

Faustus is a good example of a Renaissance man. He is interested in many different branches of knowledge. So interested, in fact, that he is willing to sacrifice his own salvation in order to acquire more knowledge and abilities. Faustus embodies many characteristics of the Renaissance, such as an extreme confidence in the power of human reason and the inevitability of progress. He thinks science and knowledge are the most powerful forces on Earth, and that the transformation of the world through their use is possible. Moreover, he is often hesitant about religious matters, doubting whether God and Hell even exist.

kiruha [24]
A viewpoint is another term for point of view it being an attitude, state of mind, or position on a certain topic. In writing, it expresses the feelings of the character as well as the narrated view the story should be read in. An author should make sure to maintain a focused POV throughout the story whether it be first person, second person, third person limited, or third person omniscient, keeping in mind the pronouns used. Using realistic examples and evidence in your writing can also be used to support a Point of view or view point.

The author would MOST LIKELY agree with which statement about the Resolute desk?
Luden [163]

Answer: D. The resolute desk has a fascinating history

Explanation:

This double pedestal partners' desk, usually called the "Resolute desk", was made from the oak timbers of the British ship H.M.S. Resolute as a gift to President Rutherford B. Hayes from Queen Victoria in 1880.

This desk remained, however, on the Second Floor of the Residence in the President's Study.
