The correct answer is General American. This is because it is not a regional dialect, rather it is a version of American English that is clear from any regionalisms or regional accentuation.

Explain why English is important?
DIA [1.3K]

This language plays an important role in our life, as it is used as a common language of communication by many people around the world. It is also the most spoken language. It is necessary in our education. It is a must for getting good job also. Like any other language, there are grammatical nuances that become more pronounced when written than when spoken. Much of our day-to-day conversation is not correct in a formal, grammatical sense. In order to communicate properly in writing, it is important to study the English language and to understand the rules that govern it (although there is no guarantee that the rules won't have changed by the time you complete school). Once a student gets later on in secondary school and certainly in college, the phrase 'English class' means not so much the study of grammar or the language itself at all, but rather literature that has been written in or translated into English. The upper-level college classes have more specific names that identify what exactly is being studied, but usually the classes are all grouped under the English Department. If you're in a well-taught English class, it also means writing analysis of the literature being read, and putting to use those formal communication skills learned earlier.
