I'm a student at LUOA and, this is way too hard. Can someone help me, please?
puteri [66]

The answer is the first one.

Knowing that population density is like a rate, people per a given area, you would take the amount of people and divide by the area.

3.11E7/7.69E6 = 4.02 people per km squared.

Also the “E” is another way to write times 10 to a power and I recommend using that notation when plugging it into a calculator.

Kasey and her sister both sold cookie dough. Her sister sold three times as many tubs of cookie dough. If they sold a total of 8
Rufina [12.5K]
X= number of tubs Kasey sold
3x= number tubs sister sold

Add the number sold by Kasey and her sister to equal the total sold (88).

x + 3x= 88
combine like terms

4x= 88
divide both sides by 4

x= 22 number tubs Kasey sold

Number Sold by Sister
3x= 3(22)= 66

CHECK:
x + 3x= 88
22 + 3(22)= 88
22 + 66= 88
88= 88

ANSWER: Kasey sold 22 tubs and her sister sold 66 tubs.

Hope this helps! :)

9 m
3 m
3 m
What is the area, in square meters, of the shaded region in the diagram?
NeTakaya

Answer:

Notice that the side length of the square is 38 m.

area of square  =  (side length)2  =  (38 m)2   =   1444 m2

Notice that the diameter of the circle is 38 m .

And its radius  =  diameter / 2   =   38m / 2   =   19 m

area of circle  =  pi * radius2  =  pi * (19m)2  =  pi * 361 m2   ≈   1133.54 m2

So......

area of shaded region = area of square - area of circle

area of shaded region  ≈       1444 m2     -  1133.54 m2

area of shaded region  ≈    310.46 m2
