the Elizabethan stage and the Beijing Opera are similar in a way that none of
the roles were played by women. Plays from the ancient Greek theatre were
usually influenced by Greek mythology. On the other hand, the unique characteristic
of the medieval theatre is simultaneous staging. The style of plays of William
Shakespeare is considered to belong to the Elizabethan stage. Lastly, the
Beijing opera combines acrobatics, music, dance, mime, and vocal performance.</span>
