Although many people argue that students should be banned from using cell phones in school, I think they should be allowed to have them.
First of all, say, a students need help on a certain problem but the teacher is busy helping another student, busy grading work, talking to another teacher, or is not in the room at the time. The student then should be able to use his or hers phone to help them.
Another reason, is that students need to be able to call a family member or someone else in case of an emergency. Say that the student forgot something or had an accident, they should be able to call in private and not get embarrassed or feel weirded out.
Lastly, students should be able to play around on their phones during lunch or free time. I know some people will argue otherwise on this topic but kids shouldn't be crammed with work for 8 hours a day for 5 days a week. If you try and force them to focus on one class after another with no breaks, they won't be able to remember much. You dont have to give the students a long time to mess around but like 5 to 10 minutes to clear their brain for more information. I know that a bunch of students could back up this opinion.
In conclusion, I think students should be able to use their phones in class and have them during the school day.

I hope this works :D

Which prewriting steps are part of research for an argumentative essay select three options selecting and forming a claim about
ella [17]

Answer:

1). Selecting and forming a claim about a specific topic.

2). Identifying evidence to include to support your reasons.

3). Investigating counterclaims that go against your claim.

Explanation:

An argumentative essay is characterized as the essay that offers both the sides(in support and counter) of the argument.

Writing is a creative yet recursive process and pre-writing is the initial stage of this process. While researching an argumentative essay, the first pre-writing step would be 'the selection of a topic that you wish to argue upon and formation of a claim to reflect your position in the argument.' The next step would involve <u>'looking for the evidence to substantiate your claim as well as reasons and justify your position before the audience'</u> that persuades them logically. The next crucial step would be 'to investigate the counterclaims that oppose your claim' as it helps in establishing the credibility of the argument. The final stage is 'refutation of these claims with appropriate logic and evidence' that substantiates the author's claim and position. Thus, <u>options 1, 2, and 3</u> are the correct answers.

What language device is being used here <br> “May be refin'd, and join th' angelic train.”
agasfer [191]

Answer:

Assonance

Explanation:

Assonance is a literary device where author uses the same or similar vowel which repeats in one line. Assonance is being used mostly in poetry in order to give the poem rhythm and musical effect.

In this particular example, we may notice assonance in the sound of /a/ being repeated in several words (“May be refin'd, and join th' angelic train.”)
