Which is smallest medium and large

Mathematics

I would change all of them to gallons

2 gallons = 2 gallons

6 quarts (4 quarts in a gallon) = 1 gallon and a half

10 pints (8 pints in one gallon) = 1 gallon and 1/4

so, the order from smallest to largest would be 10 pints, 6 quarts, and 2 gallons.

Y=-x+7 y=2x+1 solve using equations
777dan777 [17]

Answer:

x=6,y=13

Step-by-step explanation:

Eliminate the equal sides of each equation and combine.

x+7=2x+1

Solve x+7=2x+1

x=6

Evaluate yy when x=6

y=13

The solution to the system is the complete set of ordered pairs that are valid solutions.

(6,13)

The result can be shown in multiple forms.

Point Form:

(6,13)

Equation Form:

If a squareroot is multiplied by the same (like your example) it turns the number in squareroot as natural number.

squareroot 13 • 3 squareroot 13 = 13•3= 39

Hope it helps!

Select the correct steps for factoring the polynomial 5x^3-40
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

5 (x-2) (x²+2x+4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Stating with 5x³ - 40, the want to simplify the x part by extracting the common factor, so

5x³ - 40 = 5(x³-8)

Now to factor x³-8, we can rewrite it in the format x³-2³, right?

And there's a formula to obtain x³-y³, which is the Difference of Cubes formula that goes like this:  x³-y³= (x-y)(x²+xy+y²)

So, we apply this formula replacing the y with our value of 2:

x³-2³= (x-2)(x²+2x+2²) = (x-2)(x²+2x+4)

So, overall, we have 5x³ - 40 = 5 (x-2) (x²+2x+4)

The exterior angles of an octagon are 42°, 55°, 39°, 20°, 62°, 45°, and 47°. What is the measure of the eighth exterior angle? S
VikaD [51]

Answer:

the 8th exterior angle is 49 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of the exterior angles of an octagon is 360 degrees

(this is true for all polygons)

42°+55°+ 39°+ 20°+ 62°+45°,+ 47+x = 360

combine like terms

311+x=360

subtract 311 from each side

311-311 +x = 360-311

x=49
