Why do you think the author called this text "Quiet Town"? Knowing what you know now, do you think you would have left when give
stira [4]

Answer:

The author called the town quiet to build an element of surprise.

Explanation:

Knowing what we know now, I would have left the town when given the warning. The reader is shocked when they find out an unassuming quiet little town could be so horrid. I think the reason why Bev, Ezze and Benji stayed behind was so they would be in-character and it was sensible considering the situation they were in.

How to find the central idea when the author not state it explicitly?
astraxan [27]
Well you use context clues, (by the way this is called finding it indirectly :P), and visualize what the theme and message the author's tryna get across, like for example in The Lorax; They don't DIRECTLY state it, but based on the story sequence and structure, you could conclude that the central idea is to take care of Earth, and appreciate the things that comes out of it, because they may not be there for granted if we continue to pollute. c:
