The correct answer should be C.interest rates are generally very high
They are recalculated all the time and on a yearly basis and sometimes for high mortgages you end up paying back as much as double of what you took initially. You get the product instantly but you pay a lot more than what it's worth in the long run so one generally should try to avoid them.

Where did the word viking come from
kotegsom [21]

The Vikings came from three countries of Scandinavia: Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The name 'Viking' comes from a language called 'Old Norse' and means 'a pirate raid'. People who went off raiding in ships were said to be 'going Viking'.

According to the Icelandic sagas, many Norwegian Vikings also went to eastern Europe. In the Viking Age, the present day nations of Norway, Sweden and Denmark did not exist, but were largely homogeneous and similar in culture and language, although somewhat distinct geographically.

They did not call themselves Vikings. While we do not know exactly what they referred to themselves as, the term Vikings is a 19th century phrase. At the time of the Vikings, other nations referred to them as Norse, Norsemen and Danes.

How was the policy of paternalism like social darwinism? (1)?
kirill115 [55]
Paternalism and social Darwinism can be seen as very similar. For one, both of these philosophies refer to a stronger individual/government controlling a weaker individual/government. Social Darwinism is the concept that only the strongest will survive in society (aka "survival of the fittest"). This theory indicates that those who are weak will be taken over by those who are strong. The United States uses this as one way to justify their policy of imperialism during the late 1800's and early 1900's.

Paternalism, on the other hand, refers to a policy where a powerful individual or government controls the citizens by restricting their freedoms. As you can see, in both scenarios there is an emphasis on being the strongest/most fit.
