Answer:
         M = No.of moles of solute / Volume of solution in litres
  HBr: H = 1 x 1 = 1       Br = 1 x 80
             Molar mass : 81 g / mol
  a.  n = 27.7% / 100 =0.277 g / (81 g / mol) = 0.0034 mol

       density = 1.24 g/ml ; D= m / v

  b.   65.32 ml x 1 L / 1000 mL = 0.065 L

   c. M= n / V
          = 0.0034 mol / 0.065 L
       M= 0.052 mol / L

The molarity of the concentrated HBr solution is 0.052 mol/L

Answer:

60 moles of NaF

Explanation:

The balanced equation for the reaction is given below:

Al(NO3)3 + 3NaF —> 3NaNO3 + AlF3

From the balanced equation above,

3 moles of NaF reacted to produce 1 mole of AlF3.

Therefore, Xmol of NaF will react to produce 20 moles of AlF3 i.e

Xmol of NaF = 3 x 20

Xmol of NaF = 60 moles

Therefore, 60 moles of NaF are required to produce 20 moles of AlF3.

25. Which of the following is represented in the highest percentage by volume in dry air? A. Carbon dioxide B. Hydrogen C. Nitro
emmasim [6.3K]
The correct option is C. Nitrogen gas has the highest percentage by volume of all the gases that make up the air.
The composition of the air is as follows:
nitrogen = 78.09%
Oxygen = 20.95%
Argon = 0.93%
Carbon dioxide = 0.04%
water vapour = traces amount.

Answer:

Explanation:

1.

 Given parameters:

Number of moles of CaO = 0.22moles

Unknown:

Mass of CaO = ?

Solution:

Mass, number of moles and molar mass are related using the expression below;

  Mass  = number of moles x molar mass

Molar mass of CaO  = 40 + 16  = 56g/mol

  Insert the parameters and solve;

  Mass = 0.22 x 56  = 12.32g

2

Given parameters:

Number of moles of NaCl  = 0.83moles

Unknown:

mass of NaCl  = ?

Solution:

Also,

 Mass  = number of moles x molar mass

Molar mass of NaCl = 23 + 35.5 = 58.5g/mol

Now insert the parameters and solve;

    mass = 0.83 x 58.5

     mass  = 48.6g

3.

Given parameters:

Number of moles of H₂SO₄  = 0.5moles

Unknown:

mass of H₂SO₄ = ?

Solution:

Mass  = number of moles x molar mass

Molar mass of H₂SO₄  = 2(1) + 32 + 4(16) = 98g/mol

Insert the parameters and solve;

  Mass = 0.5 x 98  = 49g
