Hemingway once said, “For a long time now I have tried simply to write the best I can. Sometimes I have good luck...and write BE
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

B. He doesn't think very highly of his writing ability.

Explanation:

In the given quote Hemingway refers to the most of his life work as to something rather average, with a little bit of good writings - which he says are there because of luck. Considering how great and famous writer he was and is, we can see that this quote is pure underestimating his own talent and being humble. So B is the correct answer.

In this quote we do no find anything that matches answer A. Answer C is totally opposite of what is said in the quote, egoistic so to say. Answer D does not refer to this quote it is not about what public thinks of him, but what he thinks of himself.

PLEASE HELP can you tell me a story about the picture with a lot of details
Softa [21]

Answer:

A draft of wind blew past and ran through her hair. The air was crisp and the ocean smelled fresh and there was a thick coat of fog swirling around in the atmosphere. Passing crows flew through the air gracefully, their loud, croaky barks filling the air in a crescendo of volume. Sarah stared off into the distance as the cold and salty water lapped up onto the shore, and the sky was like a curtain of silk with puffy clouds of creamy white, that reminded her of the inside of her favorite dessert, a light and flaky pâte à choux pastry. She stared at the waves crashing upon the shore longingly. The beautiful sound of the waves soothed her like a lullaby her mother used to sing her when she was little. She dug her toes into the grainy, damp sand. She ran. Clumps of seaweed that had washed up on the beach made her stumble, but she kept going. The horizon was a line of nickel-silver. The sunset, a splash of red, yellow, and orange seemed to be seducing her and causing her to run even faster. Sarah jumped. The waves fell down upon her, wrapping her like a huge blanket. The salty water felt good. She grinned contently, vivacious, obviously pleased with her incredible accomplishment.

Explanation:

I can add advanced SAT words in the paragraph if you want, but it'll take some time. Tell me if you want that. :)

Which statement best describes the satire in the excerpt?
Ilya [14]

Hi there!

The statement that best describes the satire in the excerpt from The Canterbury Tales is that Chaucer criticizes the idea that forgiveness is available for purchase.

In pieces of literature, performing arts or dances, satire is a genre that is used to ridicule or shame someone through wittiness and in form of humour. Satire is usually meant to be humorous.

This can be seen in the excerpt with: “All for a penny! Out now with your purse!” Chaucer expresses humorously what he thinks about churches.

Hope this helps!
