dominiques has found that

-3-14=-3+14 where he has made a mistake of writing =14 instead of -14

juan has written that -3-14=-3+(-14)=-17 where he has written that answer correctly.

where the product of (-) *(+)=-

juan is right.

Dominique:

-3-14

=-3+14 ( this step is incorrect as we cannot write a-b = a+b )

=11 ( incorrect answer)

Juan:

-3-14

=-3+(-14) ( this step follows the rule a-b =a+(-b) )

=-17 (correct)

Hi Mackenzie.

Given that we have a probability question with the term "or", we are going to be adding individual probabilities.
We have Ethan, Hannah, and Sophie all included with the drawing.
This means we need to add each of their individual probabilities, 1/1200, together.

1/1200 + 1/1200 + 1/1200 = 3/1200;
To simplify: 1/400

Your answer is:
The probability of Ethan, Hannah, or Sophie being drawn is 1/400.

I hope this helps!

According to the FIFO method, the earliest sweaters are the ones that are sold off first, so if we have 24 remaining, 15 were bought in September (at $45 each) and the last 9 were from June (at $38 each). Then we calculate the total value by:
15($45) + 9($38) = $1,017
The value of the inventory is $1,017.
