Documentation is largely related in sense to commemoration. Documentation refers to the recording of data, events or any kind of information in a specific period of time. In the case of commemoration, only important events undergone by an important person are honored. Documentation is largely for recording purposes without the regards of what's important or not.

The difference between work of art is that this is a media artwork and other contemporary art forms. It focuses on people / events that are considered important for society now and in the future while work of art commemoration focuses upon the tragedy and loss associated with the conflict.
