NEED HELP WITH FUNCTION AND RANGE AND DOMAIN PLZ HELP

Mathematics
1 answer:
koban [17]3 years ago
5 0
So here the domain would be {0,5,10} because the domain represents all possible x-values. The range would be {2,3,4,5} because the range represents all possible y-values. This wouldn't be a function because the 0 is used with both the 2 and the 3 (a function is defined as a set of values where individual each value is "paired" with an individual value)

please help 30 points !! in a proportional relationship when Y=2 when X=8 Which of the following equations would describe this r
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

(1)

Step-by-step explanation:

We will try:

(1) y = \frac{1}{4}x => 2 = 2 (seems legit)

(2) y = 4x => 2 = 32 (nope)

(3) y = x - 6 => 2 = 2 (yes but actually no because it is proportional relationship)

(4) y = \frac{1}{2}x - 2 => 2 = 2 (like the above)

A ferry is travelling at a constant speed back to the dock, as shown in the graph. Which
PolarNik [594]

Answer:

<h2>y = -35x + 105</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The given graph represents a function between hours and miles.

To determine the equation that belong to this graph, first we need to find the slope using two points from the graph: (0, 105) and (3, 0).

The definition of slope is

m=\frac{y_{2} -y_{1} }{x_{2}-x_{1} } =\frac{0-105}{3-0}=\frac{-105}{3}=-35

Notice that the slope is -35. Remember that the slope is always the coefficient of variable x. So, the choice that has this slope is the right answer.

Therefore, the right answer is the last choice: y = -35x + 105
