We know that 1 side is 100 and 1 angle is 90 degrees
we would need at least 1 more angle or 1 more side length to say that they are similar

no
but, if we asssume that DCB is a straignt line, then we can say that they are similar

2. if we say taht they are similar then DE=AB, so then 175=DE=AB

Help please!!! I really don’t know how to do this!
AysviL [449]

Answer:

I'm going to do 1 as an example and using what I've taught you, you have to do the rest. Hope my explanation helps.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the points (-2, -4) and (-1, -1)

We need to find the slope.

The equation to do so is y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

lest say:

-2 is x1

-4 is y1

-1 is x2

-1 is y2

-1 - (-4) / -1 - (-2)

3/1 = 3

slope (m) = 3

We already know the y-intercept is 2

The equation of a line is y = mx + b

For this problem we just have to substitute what we already know.

y = (slope)x + y-intercept

y = 3x + 2

*TIP*

If the y-intercept is negative, let's say: b = -5  (using slope 8)

the equation will be y = 8x - 5

Hope this helps. I wish you all the best. :)

If g(x) = 5x2^2 - 10x + 9 and h(x) = -3x3^3+ 5x - 6, find g(x) - h(x)?
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

B)g(x) - h(x) = 3x^3 - 5x^2 - 15x + 15

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the given functions are:

g(x) = 5x^2- 10x + 9 \\h(x) = -3x^3+ 5x - 6

Now, g(x) - h(x) is :

(5x^2- 10x + 9) - ( -3x^3+ 5x - 6)\\= 5x^2- 10x + 9 + 3x^3 - 5x + 6\\= 3x ^3 + 5x ^2+ (-10 x - 5 x) + (9 + 6)\\= 3x^3 - 5x^2 - 15x + 15

⇒(5x^2- 10x + 9) - ( -3x^3+ 5x - 6) = 3x^3 - 5x^2 - 15x + 15

B) Hence, g(x) - h(x) = 3x^3 - 5x^2 - 15x + 15

Find the area of the rectangle.
aev [14]

Answer:

69y+23

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a rectangle will always be length times width or width times length, doesn't matter which way.

In this case, the width is 3y+1 miles and the length is 23 miles. So, the area is 23(3y+1)=23*3*y+23*1=69*y+23.

So, the area is \boxed{69y+23} and we're done.

To graph the equation 2x + 5y = 10, Zeplyn draws a line through the points (5, 0) and (0, 2). What is the slope of the line repr
BARSIC [14]
Hi there! The slope of the line is -2/5.

We can determine the slope of a line by dividing the change of y-coordinates by the change of x-coordinates.

In this situation we have a...
change of x-coordinates of (5 - 0) = 5
change of y-coordinates of (0 - 2) = -2

Therefore, the slope of this line is -2/5
