In my understanding of the two, they both show the mourning of the bombings. They both use very descriptive sensory imagery, irony and figurative language to show and describe what had happened ina way that you can allows you to be put in their shoes and feel the fear and the terror of that day. One of the poems use refrain saying that they will sing the song of freedom and i believe that even though it is a horrible situation they will stay strong and unite together for thier freedom. They wont let this pain distract them from gaining what is right. In that same poem the 2nd to last stanza the author asks questions they don't really make sense and i think that they did that to emphasize they those things dont belong, just like that bomb does not belong there and those girls did not deserve to die because they are angry. To some it may also look like the author is saying that hate does not belong here, segregation does not belong here, war amungst innocent people does not belong.. and its just the sense that both make you feel the sorrow of that day and also the powerful movement that happened after.

I woke up from a dream where I was zip-lining through the Amazon. I remembered my mum (who is from Texas) saying "Tiger Woods is your daddy." It was odd but kind of fun. I looked over to my left and I saw my little brother's Teddy Bear. I slid off my bed and looked out the window as I always do. I didn't recognize the scenery, though. "We're not in Kansas anymore," I muttered under my breath. Outside I saw the Eiffel Tower. We're in Paris.
Unfazed, I took a bath and changed clothes. I had plans to have breakfast at Tiffany's. To get to Tiffany's, I had to go jogging through Coconut Grove. Once I arrived, I gave Tiffany a hug and smelled the food cooking. The breakfast was weird, just like my dream. Tiffany's mum prepared Mahi Francaise with a side of garlic hummus. Again, weird. But pretty delicious. Then, I woke up. Oh, it was all just a dream.

Something terrible happened to my family and I. My family and I were on a boat, having a good time together when a huge storm hit. Everybody was freaking out, I was so overwhelmed and shocked. I didn't know what would happen to us. There was a bunch of water in the boat, and everyone was soaked. After the storm calmed down we all made it back to the coast unhurt. I am so thankful that nobody was hurt, I hope you're doing well too. We had towels in the car so we all could get some water off. Afterwards, when we were coming back to the house, everybody was so shocked nobody talked. When we got home, nothing really happened. Thankfully everybody is okay, they are just a little scared. I don't think we are ever going to get on a boat again. Don't worry about us, please email me back as soon as possible.
