4/5 = 16/20
Think of it this way ~ 5 in the 4/5 times 4 will equal the 20 in ?/20
( 5 x 4 = 20 )
So, you will take that 4 again, and multiply that by the 4 in 4/5
( 4 X 4 = 16 )
= 16/20

An ecological group suspects lobsters are consuming dangerous levels of mercury in a region of the world. Dangerous levels of me
Crank

Part A: 5 out 25 lobsters have dangerous levels of mercury

Part B: the 95% confidence interval is given by (4.45, 5.65)

since everything is given all I had to do is find the critical value which can be found from the resource packet = 2.064

Using the formula we find 5.05+-2.064*1.45/5 = ( 4.45,5.65)

For this case, we have 95% of confidence that the true mean for the average number of lobsters with dangerous levels of mercury is between 4.45,5.65

Rate for 40 meters in 10 seconds?
Viefleur [7K]
The rate for 40 meters in 10 seconds is

40m/10sec (40 meters per 10 seconds)

You can turn it into a different unit of measurement by multiplication or division.

For example, if you want the rate in 1 second, you divide both units by 10 (because there are 10 seconds, and 10 ÷ 10 = 1).

40m/10sec then becomes

4m/1sec (4 meters per 1 second)

40 ÷ 10 = 4, and 10 ÷ 10 = 1

Or if you'd like it in minutes, you multiply both units by 6 (because there are 60 seconds in 1 minute, and 6 x 10 = 60).

40m/10sec becomes

240m/60sec = 240m/1min

40 x 6 = 240, 10 x 6 = 60 = 1 minute
