Okay first,     breathe!  It's gonna be okay

So this is simply a linear function/equation/system.
How you do this is by plugging in the numbers provided in the left column of the table (2, 4, 6, 8) into the equation provided, (f=19s+9).

For example, for the top one, 2, what they did was substitute 2 for s which looks like this   -->   19(2)         and the whole equation   -->   f= 19(2) +9

sooo.. if you were to solve you would get 47 (PEMDAS)
You can then do this for the remaining ss.

But if you're just looking for the answers then they are:

4: 85
6: 123

Hope you do good :)

The diagram below shows some measurements taken from a new bridge. How long is the bridge?
neonofarm [45]

Answer:

1,737.3 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assume the length of the bridge consists of 2 right triangles as shown in the diagram. Use pythagorean theorem to find the other missing leg of each right triangle.

Let the missing leg for each triangle be x and y respectively.

Length of bridge = x + y

✔️x = √(1115² - 860²) = √503,625

x ≈ 709.7 (nearest tenth)

✔️y = √(1340² - 860²)

y ≈ 1,027.6 (nearest tenth)

✔️ Length of bridge = 709.7 + 1,027.6 = 1,737.3 ft

"Ten subtracted from the quotient of a number<br> and 5 is 18."
Anika [276]

Answer: n/5 - 10 = 18: this would be the equation. Your answer would be 140.

Step-by-step explanation: Let consider the number as ‘X’

Quotient of a number and 5 can be written as

                        X divided by 5

Ten subtracted from the quotient of a number and 5 can be written as

                       (X divided by 5)-10

Ten subtracted from the quotient of a number and 5 is 18 can be written as

                       (X divided by 5)-10=18

  By solving the above equation, find ‘X’

                       (X divided by 5) = 18 + 10

                    X/5=28

                       X = 28 x 5 = 140

Identify the conclusion in a hypothesis test of the following claim and sample data:
Anarel [89]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly, we set up the null and alternative hypothesis as follows;

The null hypothesis is;

H0: μ ≥ 12

The alternative hypothesis is;

Ha : μ < 12

Next step is to calculate the test statistic z

Mathematically;

z = (x - μ )/ σ /√n

= (11.58 - 12) /1.93/√(80

Test statistic z = -1.92

Now we proceed to find the probability value that is equal to the value of the test statistic. We can find this by using the standard normal table or NORMSTD function on excel

P(z < -1.92) = 0.0274

P-value = 0.0274

alpha = 0.05

From the above, we can see that

P-value < alpha

And because of this, we are going to reject the null hypothesis and therefore accept the alternative.

We then conclude that there is sufficient evidence to conclude that "The average battery life (between charges) of this model of tablet is at least 12 hours."
