The Wartime Prices and Trade Board was created by Mackenzie King during his time as a prime minister to have the permission of controlling the rising prices and wages in the country. The goal was to avoid the problem of greed and inflation that was to face Canada. WPTB was given permission at by October 1941 whatever prices of goods were freezed and new charges were established.
Jamestown presents two sides of America's founding one is positive and the other is negative as some people obtained benefits but others were negatively affected.
Jamestown was one of the first settlements in North America, this settlement was located in Virginia, and it is believed it was the beginning of the colonization in North America.
This important event has been considered by experts as both positive, and negative. This is because:
- Discovering and settling in this new territory was a huge advancement (Positive).
- Settlers had opportunities that were not possible in Europe (Positive).
- Native people from the area had to leave their territories and many died because of diseases brought by settlers (Negative).
- Later, African people were taken as slaves to Jamestown and other territories (Negative)
This means this event has two sides because only some obtained a benefit from it.
