The European voyages of exploration lead to European empires in the Eastern Hemisphere, because after the age of exploration was the age of colonization where European settlers moved to the New World. However, for the Eastern Hemisphere, there were a smaller amount of settlers and a large amount of temporary European residents who were there to work for their European home land to expand the empire. The discovery of these new lands enabled the empires to grow in the Eastern Hemisphere.
