The imperialism in Africa and Asia by the European countries had long lasting effects in big portions of these two continents, some being positive and some being negative.

The positive impacts were that the European imperialists built a lot of infrastructure in the countries they controlled. They also allowed the locals to be able to learn the Western ways of functioning, diplomacy, politics, the way their economy works. Multiple industries were developed, or at least the basics for them were set.

The negative impacts were the usage of the resources of the countries for the purpose of the European motherlands, thus taking the profit out of those countries. The borders set by the Europeans were in accordance to their interests, not the local populations, which created a very big problem further on when those countries gained independence, and lot of different ethnic groups and different religions found themselves in the same borders.

It is hard to evaluate which impact outweighing because there has been some countries that used very well the things that the Europeans left and thought them (China and Thailand for example), while others went into a direction to destroy everything the Europeans left and thought them (Zimbabwe and DR Congo for example).

Both Marx and Hegel agreed that one of the following was inimical to building the ideal society. Which one of
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

The correct answer is C. Both Marx and Hegel agreed that competition was inimical to building the ideal society.

Explanation:

Marx and Hegel were the main ideological drivers of communism, beginning to develop this political theory in the 1800s. Both were based on the belief that a perfect society should be homogeneous, that is, without social classes or distinctions among its members. Therefore, they sought the rupture of the concept of social classes, thus achieving a single uniform and egalitarian class where all its members would have the same rights and obligations: the working class. In order to achieve its objective, it was necessary to break the competitive thinking of capitalism, to reach a criterion of collaboration and community, where the means of production and the applied workforce were a common good, and not an object that became in reason of fight between the members of society.

explain one way in which political policies and cultural traditions influenced the asian or middle eastern share in global manuf
Dafna1 [17]

Based on historical perspective, one-way political policies and cultural traditions influenced the Asian or middle eastern share in global manufacturing was "<u>by trying to maintain domestic traditions</u>."

<h3>What are Cultural traditions and political policies?</h3>

Cultural traditions are the conventional beliefs and ways of life of the people. Political policies are the laws and regulations that guide the citizens and the government towards the nation's development.

Thus political policies and cultural traditions influenced the Asian or middle eastern share in global manufacturing to maintain their domestic tradition.

For example, Japan, between 1750 to 1900, modified the new technology to protect its traditional culture.

This situation led to rapid industrialization in Japan, making it the first Asian country to industrialize and add to global manufacturing.

Hence, in this case, it is concluded that the correct answer is "<u>by trying to maintain domestic traditions."</u>

How can governments both harm and help there people?
hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

Governments can be run and managed well or poorly based on leaders in charge- look at explanation

Explanation:

A government can usually dictate to some degree what people do. So if the government passes a law that bans a certain race or gender from doing a certain thing, whether it be applying for a job, or eating at a certain restaurant, then the government is limiting human rights. This, morally to us as a modern society as seen as a bad thing because it judges people based on things they cannot change, instead of things people can change like attitude or character. Now lets say a government decided to pass a law that provided healthcare or education for its people. This would be a good thing because people who become educated or maintain their health will most likely be beneficial to the society that they are a part of.
