X and y
x=4/9 times y

y is bigger so
y-x=375
x=4/9y
y-4/9y=375
5/9y=375
times both sides by 9/5
y=675

the 2nd number is 675

One pump can fill a reservoir in 60 hours. Another pump can fill the same reservoir in 80 hours. a third can empty the reservoir
steposvetlana [31]

one pump, let's call it A, fills the reservoir by 1/60 every hour. Now, B fills it by 1/80 every hour. C empties it by 1/90 every hour. All three are on, so now we combine them into one function: t(1/60 + 1/80 - 1/90) = 1, where t = the time it takes to fill it, and 1 is just our "reservoir finally filled" marker.

isolate t onto one side and we see t = 720/13 exactly, or approximately 55.38 hours. let me know if this is the wrong answer but I'm pretty sure it is correct!

A circular garden has a diameter of 6 feet. Which of the following is closest to the area of the garden?
oksian1 [2.3K]
The answer to this problem is 'B'.

This is because to find the area of a circle your formula is
A = 3.14•r²
So your first step is

1. Find the radius by dividing the diameter (6) by 2
6/2 = 3 Radius= 3

Now that you have found the radius (3) plug the number in the formula
2. A = 3.14•3²
OR
A = 3.14•3•3

Finally, solve the last step - Find the area
3.14 • 3 • 3 = 28.26
A = 28.26

To find average monthly income, multiply the net pay by the number of pay periods per year. Then divide this yearly income by 12
vladimir2022 [97]
True. To find average monthly income, multiply the net pay by the number of pay periods per year. Then, divide this yearly income by 12 months.

For example:
Daily wages:
Daily wages * 365 days = Total Wage
Total wage / 12 months = average monthly income

Weekly wages:
Weekly wages * 52 weeks = total wage
total wage / 12 months = average monthly income

Indicate the method you would use to prove the two ▲'s ≅. If no method applies, enter "none".
zysi [14]

Answer: None

Step-by-step explanation:

In the given picture , there are two triangles and their corresponding angles are equal.

So by AAA similarity criteria they are similar. But there is no other information is given to prove that they are congruent.

[∵ we know that congruent are similar but similar triangles may not be congruent.]

Therefore, there is no sufficient information to prove them congruent by using any given postulate.

Hence, the answer is "None".
