denis23 [38]

Answer:

o The beavers will not have a suitable habitat available and will gradually decline in number.

Explanation:

According to this question, an earthquake that occurs near a river system weakens a dam wall built by beavers, which are aquatic rodents, and causes the dam to collapse. This initial earthquake will damage the habitat of these aquatic animals (beavers), which is barricaded by the walls built by them around the dam over time.

The walls prevent the constant flow of water but when the walls of the dam collapses, the water in the dam begins to flow excessively i.e floods. This causes the loss of habitat of beavers, hence, resulting in the declination of number

Mkey [24]

The most specific category and level shared by humans, gorillas, and howler monkeys (from the new world) are Suborder Anthropoidea.

What is suborder Anthropoidea?

Anthropoidea is a suborder of primates that includes humans, gorillas, and monkeys. Anthropoids are larger than prosimian primates and have flatter, more human-like faces. They also have larger brains.

Unquestionably apes, dryopithecines lived in the following Miocene. According to the conventional palaeontological theory, these Miocene apes gave rise to three new lineages in turn, one of which led to gibbons, another to big apes, and the third to humans.

However, it has long been held that the ancestors of both gibbons and orang-utans diverged from the ancestral line of the advanced Primates at an early date and that this line only later split into two groups, one of which included humans and the other of which included the gorilla and the chimpanzee; recent palaeontological evidence now tends to support this second view.

What is the most likely pathway taken by a newly synthesized protein that will be secreted by a cell?
monitta

D

Essentially, the path begins from the nucleus where the DNA is transcribed by RNA polymerase that makes a nascent mRNA.

Explanation:

The nascent mRNA is processed into a mature mRNA that is sent to ribosomes that outline the membrane of the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum. When a polypeptide chain is translated by the ribosome, from the mRNA, the chain enters the lumen of the RER where it finds chaperons that help the proper folding of the chain into a required secondary, tertiary or quaternary structure. The protein undergoes further post-translational modification. Quality Control also happens here and only ‘well-made’ proteins are allowed to pass down to the Golgi apparatus. The Golgi apparatus also performs a few additional post-translation modifications but its major role is tagging these proteins for delivery, and packaging them. Vesicle budding off of this organelle carries the proteins to the cell membrane. The vesicle fuses with the cell membrane enabling the contents in the vesicle to be emptied outside the cell.
