The endocrine system acts through chemical messengers called- -
3241004551 [841]

The best answer is D.

Hormones are chemical messengers  secreted mostly into blood and also extracellular fluid by specialized tissue of the endocrine system and affect the functioning of other tissues or cells.

Most hormones circulate in blood and come in contact with essentially all cells, but a particular hormone will only affect a limited number of cells, which are termed as target cells to that hormone.

A target cell responds to a particular  hormone because it bears receptors for that hormone.

For example the red blood cells have receptors for the  hormone called insulin which is produced by the pancreas. The red cells are able to take in glucose  when their receptors bind to insulin.

What causes populations to complete
Neko [114]

Answer:

Exponential growth assumes that environmental factors like food, water supply, space, shelter, disease organisms, predators, weather conditions, and natural disasters do not affect the birth or death rate. As long as birth rate exceeds death rate (even slightly) population size will increase exponentially.

Repeating the experiment multiple times
nalin [4]

Answer:

C) Practicing good scientific method and practices.

Explanation:

The text states, "repeating the experiment multiple times," as well as other preparations that a good scientist uses.

Doing something multiple times over is a good sign of a good scientific method.

Taking careful measurements, having several researchers run the same experiment, and only testing one variable at a time are all good practices that a scientist should use.
