Some drugs produce drowsiness, lack of alertness and hallucination. The following are the possible results of poor decision making associated with drug abuse.

Loss of future goals: Due to lack of alertness the future goals of abuser are lost and he or she is not able to concentrate on important daily tasks associated with the goals.

Increased risk of traffic accidents: Lack of alertness, drowsiness under the influence of drug can lead to deadly traffic accidents.

Increased risk of an unplanned pregnancy: The abuser becomes victim or culprit of unwanted sex and unplanned pregnancy under the influence of drugs because of lack of mental alertness.
