Samir begins riding his bike at a rate of 6 mph. Twelve minutes later, Chris leaves from the same point and bikes along the same

route at 9 mph. At any given time, t, the distance traveled can be calculated using the formula d = rt, where d represents distance and r represents rate. How long after Chris begins riding does he catch up to Samir?

Answer: After 24 minutes Chris begins riding so, he catch up to Samir.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Speed of Samir riding his bike = 6mph

Speed of Chris riding his bike = 9 mph

Time taken by Chris be x

Time taken by Samir be x+12

AS we have given that at any given time ,t, the distance traveled can be using the formula " d=rt "

where d means distance and r represents rate.

So, our equation becomes,

9x=6(x+12)\\\\9x=6x+72\\\\9x-6x=72\\\\3x=72\\\\x=\frac{72}{3}=24\ minutes

As there is no need to change mph into miles per minutes as applying both will nullify the effect.

Hence, after 24 minutes Chris begins riding so, he catch up to Samir.

=\frac{2x-3}{x}

Step-by-step explanation:

=6x^2\\\mathrm{Remove\:parentheses}:\quad \left(a\right)=a\\=\frac{3x\left(4x-6\right)}{2x\cdot \:3x}\\2x\cdot \:3x=6x^2\\=\frac{3x\left(4x-6\right)}{6x^2}\\\mathrm{Cancel\:}\frac{3x\left(4x-6\right)}{6x^2}:\quad \frac{4x-6}{2x}\\=\frac{4x-6}{2x}\\\mathrm{Factor}\:4x-6:\quad 2\left(2x-3\right)\\=\frac{2\left(2x-3\right)}{2x}\\\mathrm{Divide\:the\:numbers:}\:\frac{2}{2}=1\\=\frac{2x-3}{x}

Sara can type 90 words in 4 minutes. About how
LiRa [457]

Answer:

225 words

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the answer to this question we have to find how many words she writes in 1 minute. To do this you need to divide 90 words by 4 minutes:

(90)/4 = 22.5 words/minute

Now that the words per minute is found, we can multiply it by the 10 minutes to find how many words she can write in 10 minutes:

(22.5)(10) = 225

Therefore, Sara can type about 225 words in 10 minutes.

<em>I hope this helps!!</em>

What is the answer to these three questions and how did you get them?
ludmilkaskok [199]
#1. I think the answer is B because when you estimate, round 328.9 to 329 and 7 3/4 to 8. Divide 329 by 8 which is 41.125 which is closest to 40.

#2. 25% because 25% times 80 is 20.

What is a polynomial function in standard form with zeroes 0, 1, 4, and –1?
mr Goodwill [35]
The polynomial for this case is given by:
 (x) * (x-1) * (x + 1) * (x-4) = 0
 Rescribing we have:
 (x) * (x ^ 2-1) * (x-4) = 0
 (x) * (x ^ 3 - 4x ^ 2 - x + 4) = 0
 (x ^ 4 - 4x ^ 3 - x ^ 2 + 4x) = 0
 Therefore, the polynomial in standard form is:
 f (x) = x ^ 4 - 4x ^ 3 - x ^ 2 + 4x
 Answer:
