Explanation:

Missionaries though the ideas of Christianity would give them more justification to carry on imperialistic acts. They viewed indigenous people as uncultured and that they had moral justification to provide, "structure in their lives". This gave them a reason to want to spread Christianity and carry out these acts in the first place.
