The  coefficient  that   is needed  in front  of NaNO3  to  balance  the equation  is  2

Explanation

Coefficient    is the  number   in front of a formula  in a balanced chemical equation.

For equation to balance the  number of  atoms in product side  must  be equal  to  number  of  atoms  in reactant  side.

Putting  coefficient 2  in front  of NaNO3  balance  the equation  therefore the balanced equation is as below.

Na₂S  + Zn(NO₃)2   →   ZnS  +  2 NaNo₃.

There are 2 Na and 2 NO3 on the left side so there must be 2 NaNO3 on the right side. !st Law of thermodynamics: Mass cannot be created nor destroyed .

Explain how the mass of a single atom in an element (in amu), the mass of one mole of that element, and Avogadro’s number are re
Eva8 [605]

Answer: For 1 mole of a single atom it is equal to its molar mass. And a single atom, 1 mole is equal to the Avogadro's Number.

Explanation: The relationship can be expressed through the following:

1 mole = molar mass of an atom/ compound

1 atom x 1 mole / 6.022x10^23  atoms

A solid powder is known to be a mixture of NaCl and Na2CO3, but the relative amounts of each compound in the sample are unknown.
AveGali [126]

Answer:

Concentration of sodium carbonate in the solution before the addition of HCl is 0.004881 mol/L.

Explanation:

Na_2CO_3(aq) +2 HCl(aq)\rightarrow 2NaCl(aq) + H_2O(l)+CO_2(g)

Molarity of HCl solution = 0.1174 M

Volume of HCl solution = 83.15 mL = 0.08315 L

Moles of HCl = n

molarity=\frac{moles}{Volume (L)}

0.1174 M=\frac{n}{0.08315 L}

n=0.1174 M\times 0.08315 L=0.009762 mol

According to reaction , 2 moles of HCl reacts with 1 mole of sodium carbonate.

Then 0.009762 mol of HCl will recat with:

\frac{1}{2}\times 0.009762 mol=0.004881 mol

Moles of Sodium carbonate = 0.004881 mol

Volume of the sodium carbonate containing solution taken = 1L

Concentration of sodium carbonate in the solution before the addition of HCl:

[Na_2CO_3]=\frac{0.004881 mol}{1 L}=0.004881 mol/L

If a solution has virtually virtually no hydrogen ions, what type of pH does it have?
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

13: if thats one of the options

Explanation:

B/c for pH to be that high you have to have alot of OH ions and almost non H+. pH won't be 0 or 2 cuz that implies ALOT of H ions. pH wont be 7 cuz that implies we have 1*10^-7 H ions.
