<u>Answer</u>:

By tracking oxidation numbers we can identify the number electron in the atom

<u>Explanation</u>:

Tracking of electrons helps us to know when and how many electrons get transferred from one atom to other atom . Oxidation  referred as the “loss of one or more electrons” by an atom. When the oxidation number of an element increases, there is a loss of electrons and that element is being oxidized. Oxidation numbers are usually written with the sign (+plus or −minus) followed by the magnitude, which is the opposite of charges on ions. In their elemental stage oxidation number of an atom is zero.

Can someone please do this for me
Setler [38]

<u>2</u>K(<u>s</u>) + F₂(g) --> <u>2</u>KF(<u>s</u>)

The physical stare of potassium is solid(s) and that of potassium fluoride is solid(s) so, s will be put on both the blanks.

Now, In order to balance florine, we will put 2 for potassium floride, afterwards florone will be 2 on both side of equation but now potasium will become unbalnced so, we will put 2 for potassium. Thus, both sides of the equation will be balanced.

1.00 x 10^6 atoms of gold is equivalent to how many grams?
S_A_V [24]

Answer:

3.27 x 10⁻¹⁶ grams

Explanation:

moles Au = 1.00 x 10⁻⁶ Atoms / 6.02 x 10²³Atoms / mole = 1.66 x 10⁻¹⁸ mole Au

grams Au = 1.66 x 10⁻¹⁸ mole Au x 196.97 grams Au/mole Au

= 3.27 x 10⁻¹⁶ grams Au
