Homeostasis describes an equilibrium that has been achieved in a specific system. For a body, this obviously can set off a chain of events that disrupt the internal equilibrium that lead to physical manifestations like a fever, chills, slow or rapid heart beat, vomiting and other symptoms. Both the virus and the sudden storm create violent and/or unusual reactions within those systems, that are contrary with the concept of homeostasis.
