Lisa walked her dog 2 1/5 miles. Sam walked her dog 1 3/4 times as far. How many more miles did LISA walk her dog

Mathematics
1 answer:
Ivan4 years ago
4 0

Sam walked

2 \frac 1 5 \times 1 \frac 3 4 = \frac{11}{5} \times \frac{7}{4} = \frac{77}{20} \textrm{ miles}

Lisa walked fewer miles, so we'll get a negative number for how many miles more Lisa walked.

\textrm{Lisa } - \textrm{ Sam } = \frac{11}{5} - \frac{77}{20} = \frac{44}{20} - \frac{77}{20} = - \frac{33}{20} = - 1 \frac{13}{20}

Answer: -1 13/20  miles

You have saved $342$342 and want to go shopping for a few things. You buy a pair of shoes for $73$73, a pair of jeans for $38$38
Xelga [282]
The answer is $162 you take the prices of what she bought and add them together which is $73+$38+$64=$180
then you subtract the $180 from $342 which is $342-$180=$162
so the answer is $162

342 - 180 = 162

In January, Bangkok is hotter than Cape Town while Cape Town is hotter than Moscow. Which inequality correctly compares the temp
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer: The correct option is D.

Explanation:

It is given that in January, Bangkok is hotter than Cape Town it means the temperature of Bangkok is greater than the temperature of Cape Town. It can be written in the inequality form as shown below,

Bangkok's temperature > Cape Town's temperature

It is the conclusion (1).

It is also given that the Cape Town is hotter than Moscow it means the temperature of Cape Town is greater than Moscow. It can be written in the inequality form as shown below,

Cape Town's temperature > Moscow's temperature

It is the conclusion (2).

When we combine conclusion (1) and (2). We get

Bangkok's temperature > Cape Town's temperature > Moscow's temperature

This statement is shown in option D, therefore the correct option is D.
