The biodiversity hotspots are the biogeographic regions that have lost about 70% of the habitat or primary vegetation and the region is rich with 1500 species of plants not found anywhere in the world except that area. These species are called endemic species.
The biodiversity hotspots are the regions that require the attention of the Conservation ministry as these areas are continuously threatened due to loss of population, pollution, destruction of the area and many other factors that have destroyed the forest area.
