What is the aim of the journey in these poems ("ulysses", and "crossing the bar")?
grigory [225]
In the two poems, the journey is a metaphor for life and passage into afterlife. In Ulysses Tennyson talks about how his life is nearing its end and how he's old now while in crossing the bar he talks about dying and going into afterlife. Both poems use the motif of journey on open seas to describe venturing into the unknown, that is, how life passes quickly as a journey does and the next stop on the journey is afterlife.

How does the government in the US and in other countries try to protect Industries
xenn [34]

Answer:

By creating a Tariff.

Explanation:

A Tariff is additional set of expense that the companies from foreign country need to pay before they can sell their products into our local market.

By imposing this Tariffs, the foreign companies will be forced to increase the price of their product to maintain their profit. When this happen, the customers will be less interested to buying their product and develop a stronger preference to the product created by local businesses. This will very much help the local industries.
